Teacher Certification Plan

Antillean Adventist University and the Puerto Rican Union Department of Education (DEUP) have approved a special plan to facilitate the completion of the requirements for Denominational Teacher Certification by all active teachers in our academies. This plan will be valid for three years, until 2020. The primary cost of the courses will be covered by contributions from Antillean and DEUP. All required courses, according to the DEUP Education Code, will be offered through distance learning and will receive university credit. Upon completion of studies at Antillean University, each student may request an official transcript.

Steps to apply

To participate in this plan, teachers must be employed at one of the Adventist academies in Puerto Rico and receive express authorization from their association. To participate in this plan, they must follow these steps:

1. Download the application here
   Complete it completely. Include a copy of a valid photo ID with your application.
2. Request an official transcript from the last university you attended or where you completed your bachelor’s degree.
3. Send the application and credit transcript to the following address:
