Educational Role

The educational role trains you to transmit knowledge and strengthen the clinical practice of other professionals:

  • Design and implement continuing education programs in critical areas (ventilators, hemodynamics, sepsis, ulcer prevention).
  • Supervise and guide nursing students in critical care units.
  • Promote evidence-based practice in clinical settings.
  • Develop educational leadership as a mentor and coach.
  • Access roles as a clinical educator, university professor, training coordinator, or health education consultant

Administrative Role

The administrative role enables you to lead teams and manage critical care units:

  • Manage intensive care units and establish safety and quality protocols.
  • Optimize the allocation of personnel, budget, and technological resources.
  • Integrate research into administrative management, reinforcing evidence-based practice.
  • Design institutional policies and ensure accreditation with agencies such as the Joint Commission and CMS.
  • Hold positions such as Director of Nursing, Intensive Care Unit Coordinator or Quality Program Manager

Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.80.
  • Active professional license and membership in the College of Nursing Professionals of Puerto Rico.
  • Updated Curriculum Vitae.
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • Interview with the admissions committee (virtual or in person).
  • Certification of criminal records.
  • Admission fee: $30.
