Antillean Adventist University ranks second among universities in the “Top Performers on Social Mobility” in the southern region of the United States

The president of Antillean Adventist University, Dr. Edwin Hernandez , announced today that the institution has been recognized as number 2 in the Top Performers on Social Mobility category by US News & World Report , one of the most prestigious evaluation systems for higher education in the United States.

Social mobility refers to a university’s ability to transform the economic trajectory of its students, especially those from low-income families. This indicator measures how many Pell Grant recipients the institution not only enrolls but also graduates, thus helping to break cycles of economic hardship and open access to better life opportunities.

“Being the second institution with the greatest impact on social mobility in the entire Southern United States, a region with more than 300 evaluated universities, confirms Antillean’s commitment to educational equity and reaffirms its position as the university with the greatest cultural diversity in Puerto Rico,” said Dr. Hernández .
