Antillean Adventist University put out the red carpet as it hosted the 2nd Faith and Science Symposium during the April 4-5 week-end. Two creationist scientists, members of the Geoscience Research Institute, based at Loma Linda University, were the guest speakers: Dr. Raúl Esperante, paleontologist, a specialist on vertebrate fossil tafonomy and paleoenvironments; and Dr. Benjamin Clausen, nuclear physicist that has studied models of the nuclear shell on various particle accelerators. Both scientists offered highly scientific presentations from a creationist perspective.
More than 250 registered participants attended the Symposium, among which were Administrators, Pastors, Teachers and members of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Puerto Rico. This Symposium was coordinated by the Adventist Theological Society and sponsored by Antillean Adventist University, and the sister Institutions of the Adventist Church in Puerto Rico. The participants enhanced their scientific knowledge about Creationism, and strengthened their faith in God as our Creator and Savior.
