The construction of the Language Lab and Science Labs (Biology, Physiology, Anatomy, Physics and Chemistry) Building Project is about to be finished, according to the approved construction plans. This has been achieved under the direction and combined efforts of the personnel administering the Federal Title V Project and the University Administration.

Being the newest, it is also the most modern in its structure and facilities on the Antillean Adventist University Campus. It is the first "intelligent" building due to the inclusion of the most recent technology in its various areas, laboratories and classrooms. The LS Building will also house the University's Tutoring Services, the ITS (Information Technology Services, previously known as the Administrative Computer Center), the University's U. S. Title V Project Offices and others.
According to Mr. Juan Casado, the Project's Construction Director, 99% of the structure has been completed, and work is continuing full throttle ahead towards its completion. The next step is approval and emission of pertinent permits, as well as the furnishings and the Science Laboratories' equipment.

The SSL (Spanish as a Second Language) Program has been designed and approved. Its trial implementation has begun. It is sharing the new ESL Lab facilities, now on its second year, still provisionally housed on the third floor of the Dennis Soto Library.
This new program will eventually be a part of the proposed Language Institute. It procures to attract non-Spanish-speaking students who want to acquire the Spanish Language as well as a College career.
As was mentioned above, the ESL (English as a Second Language) program has entered its second phase. This will allow the students at Antillean, and later, community members who so desire, to acquire the experience and competence in English that will enhance communication skills and thereby, the employment opportunities in the U. S. mainland and in the Island.
