Mission

The university and the Office of Proposals and the Collection of Funds (OPCF) recognizes the fact that resources are the force of any enterprise. Its primary focus is directed toward student and staff service, improving or updating classroom equipment for the academic departments. It is for this reason that the OPCF has as its primary objectives the innovative development of industry within the institution proper, the creation of new sources of income and the making of local and federal proposals developments easier.


Attainments:

  • Bought new equipment for the Nursing Department
  • Bought new equipment for the Respiratory Therapy Department
  • Coordinated six federal and state proposals

Special Project I: General Sciences Building

  • Chemical Laboratory ( $52,512.40)
  • Physics Laboratory  ($52,512.40)
  • Biology Laboratory  ($52,512.40)
  • Anatomy Laboratory ($52,512.40)
  • Physiology Laboratory ($52,512.40)

General Sciences Building The General Sciences Building will have five laboratories, each with a thirty-student capacity. Ninety-four percent of this building is now complete.


Special Project II: The Women’s Dormitory $3.5 million


Special Project III: EGECED

Creation of a Multimedia Resources Center ($30,000)
Justification:
To improve on-line quality and the organization of offerings of course instruction
The results of a pilot-study done in Antillean show student preference for the inclusion of multi-media on-line resources

  • Solidification of academic offerings

  • Offering of accessible programs on a larger scale (to a larger market)

  • Offering of tools needed for instruction
