Reference (1st floor):
The librarian on duty offers orientation and individualized help in searching for information, using the library’s resources and reference materials.

Book Loans (2nd floor):
Library users with identification may borrow books from the General Circulation Collection for two weeks and the Puerto Rico Collection for one week. They may be renewed at the due date if no one else has placed a hold on the book.

Study groups (2nd floor):
The library provides two rooms for study groups. A group must consist of at least three persons. Requests for the study rooms are made through the person in charge of the Circulation area.

Internet access (1st y 3rd floor):
Internet access is available on all floors through the library’s wirelesss system. Computers are available on the first and second floor for academic tasks and information search. All internet searches should be in keeping with the christian values upheld by this University.

Any person who needs the use of a computer should ask the person in charge in the first or third floor for availability and must sign the register.


Orientation and instruction (3rd floor):
New students receive general library orientation at the start of each semester. In addition, orientations are offered during courses at the professor’s petition.

Interlibrary loans (1st floor):
If our library does not have the necessary information and/or materials, the library can arrange a loan with another library. We also supply information and/or materials to other libraries. This service is provided by the Reference Librarian.

Photocopies (1st and 2nd floor):
For your convenience, photocopy machines have been installed that operate with coins, $1.00, $5.00 bills and cards. Money cards are sold in the library at a cost of $1.00. The same can be validated with any amount desired by inserting the card into the machine and the money into the machine. The price per copy is $.10. The library does not provide change for bills.

EBSCO Publishing electronic journals:
The library offers an online database for journal and magazine articles through EBSCO Publishing. By typing in key words the user may be able to access and print articles including a great number of professional journals. To acquire access to the database the user should the see the person in charge of the Reference area.
