Reference (1st floor):
This collection consists of reference books such as: encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, manuals, bibliographies, yearbooks, almanacs, etc. The books in this collection have an R or REF over the classification number. Since the books in this collection are in high demand by the users its circulation out of the library building is not permitted

Periodical Publications (1st floor):
Journals – This collection contains the latest publications of professional journals and general interest magazines. Service for this collection is provided at the periodicals counter. Circulation out of the library building is not permitted.

Periodicals – The library has newspapers with the greatest circulation in Puerto Rico.  They are to be used only in the first floor.

Circulation (S2nd and 3rd floor):
The material found in the Circulation Collection may be used in and out of the library.  For the user’s convenience, browsing is permitted and materials may be examined in the area before lending. Nevertheless, it is recommended that user consult the computerized catalog before heading toward the Circulation Collection. The catalog will indicate that exact location of the material being sought.Books in the Circulation Collection with the SDA prefix over the classification, indicates that the author of the book is Seventh-Day Adventist.


Puerto Rico Collection (2nd floor counter) :
This collection contains general works and reference material on Puerto Rico, whether or not it has been by Puerto Ricans, including Puerto Rican literature. Books in this collection are identified by the prefix PRICO over the classification number. A major part of these works and materials are used as reference materials and do not circulate outside the library.

Reserve (Second Floor Counter):
The Reserve Collection consists of books from the General Circulation Collection that professors have set aside to be used by the students in classes.  These materials are to be used in the area and should not leave the library.

Juvenil (1st floor):
These books are of special interest to children and adolescents. The collection is found on the first floor, to the right.  The Juvenile collection is identified by the code J or JUV.
