Our Beliefs

Our philosophy is based on God’s revelation through His Word and life of His Son Jesus Christ on Earth.

Through divine revelation, the Holy Bible establishes that human beings are God’s supreme creation, and therefore, depend on the Creator for the development and the complete fulfillment of all abilities.

Human beings, created in God’s own image, should be treated equally, regardless of their age, sex, race, nationality, religious belief or social status.

Based on the relationship between the human being and the Creator, the education offered by Antillian is defined as a process involving all the different aspects of human personality and that of preparing the individual for this life and the life to come.

The university understands that the academic preparation of the individual must be offered within a Christian framework. The foundation of the Christian faith, the Bible and the main source of wisdom, and truth, the education provided by Antillean Adventist University is modeled on the Christian concept of the human being. This concept values the individual and understands that submission to the Creator’s will by faithfully obeying His Holy Word and accepting Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of this world is paramount.

Furthermore, it is also established that the education offered is an interactive process that responds to social change. Thus, it prepares the individual to be an agent of change motivated by Christian values, and a facilitator in this complex world. The university is highly interested in providing the student with the necessary opportunities to acquire extensive knowledge in the different areas of learning, and to be able to develop critical and analytical thinking abilities.

Within this philosophy, the professors  do not only share knowledge, but also communicate the truth of God as an integral part of the curriculum. The main objective is to develop a balance between cognitive and spiritual areas so one may serve God and the community.
